Windswept Shore

Here is a windy afternoon at the beach in Northern Michigan. A towering cream-and-lavender cloud fills the sky above a stand of tall green trees, while white-capped waves roll in beneath a band of yellow light at the horizon. Pale pink sand runs down to the water, and wind-bent beach grass and a bare, twiggy shrub crowd the foreground, all laid on in thick, curling strokes. This painting is still wet and will not ship until December 8 at the earliest.
