The Chase — Hand-Embellished Canvas Reproduction

Canvas size: 8 × 10 inches

What you receive: a gallery-wrapped canvas, hand-embellished and signed by the artist, with black-painted sides. It needs no frame and no hanging hardware: the wooden frame on the back hangs on a single nail and sits flush against the wall. A sawtooth hanger or wire is easy to add if you prefer. The photo shows the original painting. Each canvas is embellished by hand, so the brushwork on yours will differ.

One sailboat leans into the wind, chasing two others back toward the docks as the sun sets behind them. A lone sailor sits at the tiller beneath a tall white sail, while green shorelines frame the water. It could be any northern lake, though it calls Lake Charlevoix to mind. The sky curls in thick lavender swirls, and the waves glint orange in quick, heavy strokes. Reproduced from the original oil painting by Roman.
