That French place

Here is That French Place, a much-loved breakfast hangout in downtown Charlevoix, Michigan. For Roman, it was the red tables and chairs that made this a painting. They crowd the sidewalk beneath a big shade tree, with one tabletop filling the foreground. Behind them, white blooms climb the storefronts, The Round Lake Market sign hangs over the walk, and a pink hanging basket glows against leaves laid on in thick, choppy strokes. This painting is still wet and will not ship until December 5 at the earliest.
