Last summer the wildfire smoke drifting over Northern Michigan turned the sky into something almost unreal — colors you wouldn't believe if you hadn't seen them yourself. This is one of those mornings, the sunrise burning through pine trees in air so thick with haze it looked like the whole sky was on fire.
