Up North Flowers #5

Big yellow blooms with violet centers tumble toward you through a meadow of green leaves and small sky-blue flowers, shrinking as the field runs back to a line of dark pines under a pale cream and lavender sky. This is the fifth in a series of oil and oil pastel paintings made in Northern Michigan in the summer of 2026, every shape ringed by the hot magenta ground glowing through thick, quick strokes.
