Every inch of the canvas is alive — irises and lupines pushing up through a riot of echinacea, marigolds, and daisies, with the treeline glowing teal and lime beyond. This garden holds the memory of two places at once: Roman’s own front yard along Highway 62 and a beloved cottage garden in Charlevoix, Michigan, painted together into one overflowing summer. Reproduced from the original oil and oil pastel painting by Roman.
